High-Resolution Images of The Charters of Freedom


To download these files...

  1. Right-click on the link for the file you want to download (Control-click on Mac).
  2. Choose "Save Target As..." in the menu that appears (on Mac, the menu selection will be "Download Link to Disk...").
  3. You will be prompted to select a location on your computer to save the file.
  4. After choosing a location, click "Save" or "OK" and the download will begin.

The links below provide access to high-resolution images of the Charters of Freedom documents. The images reside on http://www.archives.gov/ and will open in a new window.

These files are very large (8 to 12 megabytes) and will take approximately 1/2 hour or longer to download on a 56k modem connection. These images will print at approximately 24" wide by 29" high at 300dpi (publication quality). To view smaller versions of these files on-screen, click the preview images below.
